MOTTO :"NOT ME BUT YOU"

Identify the needs of the community and involve the youth in voluntary community service. Stimulate social consciousness among students and provide them an opportunity to work for the underprivileged and marginalized sections of our community and to impart awareness about concrete social issues.

The NSS Unit on our campus was established in October 2015 and consists of 100 volunteers who actively engage in all events.

The main objectives of the National Service Scheme (NSS) are

• Understand the community in which they work
• Understand themselves in relation to their community
• Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
• Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
• Utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
• Develop competence required for group living and sharing of responsibilities
• Gain skills in mobilizing community participation
• Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
• Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and Practise national integration and social harmony
