The faculty of Sanskrit aimed to serve as a centre of excellence for Sanskrit education and research endeavours to foster a deep understanding of Sanskrit's historical, cultural, and philosophical significance also exploring its relevance in contemporary contexts.
The curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in Sanskrit grammar, syntax, and literary traditions, while also encouraging critical thinking and independent research and also aims to leverage digital technologies and interdisciplinary approaches to enhance teaching, research, and outreach activities.the department conducts special spoken Sanskrit classes to enhance students' oral proficiency. organises field trips to historical sites relevant to Sanskrit studies, providing students with hands-on learning experiences.
विमुध्या परस्पर भाव व्यक्तीकरणार्थं साधनं भवति 'भाषा'। सर्वासु भाषासु संस्कृत भाषैव अग्रगण्या । सैव सकल भाषाणां जननी । संस्कृत भाषा अमरवाणी इति कथ्यते नाम अमराणां (देवतानां) वाणी। अस्माकं देशस्य सांस्कृतिक विकासः एतत् भाषा माध्यमेनैव परिवर्धते । लिटिल् फ्लवर स्नातक कलाशालायां संस्कृत विभागः अष्टोत्तर द्विसहस्र (2008) तमे वर्षे प्रारब्धः । तत् प्रभृति अनेन विभागेन अनेकाः प्रतिस्पर्धाः चर्चा वेदिकाः विहार यात्राः कार्यशालादिकाश्च प्रायोजिताः ।
Objectives
- To Identify the role of value of Sanskrit in the present social context .
- Acquire ability to understand oral and written Sanskrit.
- To Use new methods of imparting Sanskrit education with the help of current tools and techniques.
- To design Orientation/Refresher courses in Sanskrit to enhance language competence and communicative skills.
- To acknowledge the sacramental importance of Sanskrit in all spheres of human life.
