Faculty of Hindi

The faculty of Hindi since its inception is dedicated and promotes the language, literature, and culture. Hindi serves as a common language that fosters national integration,unity, history among diverse linguistic and cultural communities in India. The faculty contributes to the broader understanding and appreciation of Hindi language and culture globally . Proficiency in Hindi enhances cultural appreciation, communication skills, academic pursuits, career prospects and national integration in the college. The faculty encourages students to develop interest in the language by organising seminars, workshops, field trips, skits, competitions etc.

The Department of Hindi was established in 2008 with 25 students and at present there are 250 students from different streams.

The faculty consistently keeps itself updated by conducting National & International seminars, workshops, field trips, commemorative days of literary giants for students and staff. The department keeps rejuvenating itself in terms of research and modernisation of Hindi language.

Objectives

  • Provide opportunities to appreciate, recognise and to acquire the skill in the language.
  • Reaffirm the significance of the language in influencing the culture and traditions of India.
  • Foster partnership among various communities in Indian society through the language to remove the barrier that exists.
  • Respond spiritedly to rapidly changing demographics and demands for language learning.
  • Empower to acquire attitude, values, and skills that enhance cross- cultural communication.
