1. Mr. Prasanth took the NSS students to an “Organ Donation Awareness Camp” held at Shilpkala Vedika, HITEC City on 1st July.
2. Ms. Sreelekha attended an FDP Workshop held at St. Pious X Degree and PG College on 8th July.
3. On 8th July a Condolence Meeting was held in memory of Ms. Sayeda Afreen Agha, a student of I BBA.
4. A Seminar was organized by the Sanskrit Department for the II year Sanskrit students on 13th July. Prof. A. Ramulu, HOD, Sanskrit Department, Osmania University spoke on “The Importance of Sanskrit.”
5. A Program was organized to felicitate Rev. Bro. Paul Raj, Assistant General, Rome and Rev. Bro. Franky Noronha, Provincial Superior, by the students of LFDC on 14th July.
6. A Program was organized to felicitate Rev. Bro. Paul Raj, Assistant General, Rome and Rev. Bro. Franky Noronha, Provincial Superior, by the staff of Little Flower on 14th July.
7. Mr. Prasanth along with the NSS students planted saplings in the College premises as a part of ‘Haritha Haram’ program initiated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Telangana on 15th July.
8. LENVIN Club organized an Essay Writing Competition for all the students as a part of the ‘Haritha Haram’ program on 19th July.
9. A Guest Lecture was organized by the Statistics Department on 29th July. Dr. K Ranga Rao spoke on “Correlation and Rank Correlation.”
10. Ms. Sheela of Hindi Department attended a Seminar on “Bharat mein Nirman Yojna” at Midhani on 29th July.
11. Mock Interviews were held for all the final year students by the Placement Committee and Alumni of College on 29th July.
12. A Guest Lecture was organized by the Dept. of Microbiology on 30th July. Dr. Acharya Nagarjuna, HOD, Dept. of Microbiology, OU was the Guest Speaker.
13. Mr. M. Prashanth and Ms. T Swapna attended a National Conference conducted by the Dept. of Mathematics, OU on 30th and 31st July.
14. A Guest Lecture was organized by the Hindi Department on the occasion of Premchand Jayanthi on 31st July. Prof. Rishab Deo Sharma was the Guest Speaker.

1. The Investiture Ceremony was held on 1st August. Dr. Tharun Joshi, IPS Officer, Joint-Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda was the Chief Guest.
2. A Seminar was organized by the Department of Mathematics on the topic “Riemann Integrals and its Applications” on 2nd August.
3. A Field Trip was organized by the Dept. of Electronics and Physics to Kwality Photonics Pvt. Ltd., Kushaiguda Electronics Complex on 3rd August.
4. A Seminar was organized by the Dept. of Political Science on 3rd August on Indo-China Border Dispute.
5. Shloka Pathanam and Tambola Competitions were conducted by the Sanskrit Dept. on the occasion of Sanskrit Day i.e. 4th August.
6. Ms. Sheela from the Department of Hindi attended one day Workshop on Hindi Syllabus at Nizam College on 5th August.
7. A Seminar was organized by the Dept. of Chemistry on the topic “Nanomaterials and its Applications” on 5th August.
8. The Annual Meeting of Physical Education Personnel for the academic year2017-18 was held on 5th August.
9. A Seminar on “Networks” was organized by the Dept. of Computer Science on 8th August.
10. The French Department took the French students to a French Film Screening at Alliance François, Banjara Hills on 9th August.
11. IKS has come for Placements for the Final year students on 16th August by the Placement Committee.
12. A Seminar was organized for all the BTMC students by the Dept. of Biotechnology on 16th August.
13. A Seminar on “Interview Etiquettes” was organized by the Dept. of Management on 17th August.
14. Mr. Prashant along with 50 NSS volunteers attended a Youth Convention on “National Security: Modi Government’s Efforts and Achievements” conducted by NSS, OU at IICT Auditorium, Habsiguda on 17th August.
15. The Dept. of Telugu conducted an Essay writing competition on Telugu Day i.e. 18th August.
16. Ms. Dhwani and Ms. Manjusha (Dept. of Statistics) and Ms. Swathi (Dept. of Computer Science) attended FDP on “Optimization Techniques in Artificial Intelligence” at Aurora’s Degree and PG College, Chikkadpally on 19th August.
17. Fresher’s Party was organized by the III and II year students to welcome the I year students on 19th August.
18. A Paper Reading Contest was held for UG students by the Faculty of English, OU on 26th August. Ms. Jyothi from the Department of English accompanied the students.
19. A Workshop was organized for all the students of B.A. on 28th August by the Department of Psychology. Mrs. Archana and Ms. Sneha of Sri Aurobindo Society spoke on ‘Inner Awareness.’

1. Inaugural Function of Decennial Celebrations was held on 1st September. Prof. S. Ramachandran, Vice- Chancellor, Osmania University was the Chief Guest. Rev. Fr. Dr. Pothireddy Anthony SJ, Principal, Loyola Academy Degree & PG College and Rev. Sr. Dr. V. Japamala Showrillu, Asst. General Secretary, Society of Catechist Sisters of St. Ann. Were the Guests of Honor.
2. Lectures were given by students of II and III year BSc students to other groups on 4th September. It was conducted by the Physical Science Club.
3. The Dept. of Chemistry took the students for Field Trip to CSIR Science Exhibition in IICT Campus, Habsiguda on 4th September.
4. The Dept. of Biotechnology took students on a Field Trip to IICT on account of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on 5th September.
5. A Teacher’s Day celebration was organized by the students for the Lecturers on 4th September.
6. On the occasion of Teacher’s Day celebrations, Physical Science Club conducted classes wherein science students enacted as lecturers and taught non-science students on 4th September.

24. Intra-collegiate Competitions were held by the Commerce Club on 14th October. The competition was Learn to Earn: Competition Stalls.
25. Intra-collegiate Competitions were held by the Cultural Committee on 14th. The competitions were Collage, Clay modeling, Painting, Drawing, Photography, Photoshop and Nail Art.
26. Dept. of Physical Sciences organized a Science Exhibition on “Scientists and their Inventions” on 15th October.
27. K. Nishanth Reddy of III BA participated in OU ICT Boxing at LB Stadium on 16th & 17th October.
28. Intra-collegiate Competitions were held by the Cultural Committee on 17th. The competitions were Group singing, Solo singing, Group dance, Solo dance, Skit and Fancy dress.
29. Intra-collegiate Competitions were held by the Cultural Committee on 18th October. The different competitions were Anthakshari and Cooking with fire.
30. The Valedictory Ceremony for all the Intra Collegiate Competitions was held on 20th October. Dr. Bharat Reddy, a Cardiologist and film actor was the Chief Guest.
31. Final Year BTMC students were taken on a Field trip to Indian Immunologicals Limited, Gachibowli by the Dept. of Biotechnology on 20th October.
32. Ms. T. Naga Lakshmi from the Dept. of Electronics attended a Faculty Development Program on “Research Methodologies” conducted by the Dept. of MCA, Loyola Degree and PG College, Alwal on 21st October.
33. The Inter Collegiate Cultural Competitions were held on 21st October. The Competitions were Solo singing, Group Singing, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Rangoli, Mehandi, Vegetable Carving, Cooking with fire, Cooking without fire, Flower Arrangement, Anthakshari, Collage, Clay modeling, Painting, Drawing, Skit and Fancy Dress.
34. 15 students of BTMC II year attended State Level Workshop and presented Poster and Oral Presentation at Government Degree and PG College, Hussainalum on 21st October.
35. Students from France visited the LFDC campus on 21st October.
36. Department of Microbiology conducted National Workshop on Hematology on 21st October.
37. LFDC Athletics players participated in O.U ICT at Gachibowli Stadium on 23rd & 24th October.

1. Intra Collegiate Sports and Games competitions were held from 1st to 3rd November. The competitions held were: 100 mtrs Shot-put, Discus throw, Long jump and Javelin.
2. Placement Committee organized Placements for all Final year students by Genpact on 3rd November.
3. Placement Committee organized Placements for all Final year students by HGS on 6th November.
4. Mr. Prashanth attended “Rural Immersion Orientation Programme” conducted by NSS (OU cell) and National Council for Rural Institutes (NCRI) ON 8th November.
5. Dept. of Political Science took B.A. students to Ravipahad Village, Bhongri District on 11th November.
6. Dept. of Zoology took I year BZC students on a Field Trip to Ramanthapur Lake and the adjacent forest area on 11th November.
7. Orientation Program was held for I year NSS volunteers on 13th November.
8. Ms. J Usha Rani attended a National Conference held at Nizam College on 17th November.
9. A Faculty Development Program on “Classroom Strategies and Management” was conducted for the Faculty on 22nd November. The speaker was Dr. Bro. Yuju Francis.
10. Department of English conducted a Faculty Development Program on “Anxiety at Workplace” on 24th November. The speaker was Dr. Virinchi Sharma, a Psychiatrist.

1. Mr. Prashanth accompanied III B.Com. (G) NSS volunteers to attend ‘World Aids Day Rally’ conducted by NSS, OU cell on 1st December. The Rally started from Arts College, OU and went up to AMS, OU.
2. NSS volunteers attended ‘5K Run for Drug Free Hyderabad” conducted by American Telangana Association on 3rd December.
3. I and II year French students attended a French Seminar held at Kasturba College, Secunderabad on 5th December.
4. Ms. Jyothi accompanied students to participate in an Intercollegiate Carol Singing Competition “Carol Fiesta – 2017” held at St. Mary’s College on 8th December.
5. Ms. Jyothi accompanied students to participate in the United Carol Singing held at Little Flower High School, Abids on 10th December.
6. Pre-Christmas Celebrations were held for all the students by the Prayer Committee on 11th December.
7. Ms. Suvarna, Ms. Yvonne, Ms. Jyothi and Ms. Ruth attended a Guest Lecture on the topic “Literatures of the Global South: Sri Aurobindo, Wilson Harris and V. S. Naipul” by Prof. Paget Henry, Brown University at Arts College, OU on 13th December.
8. III year Commerce students were taken for a Field Trip by the Department of Commerce to Vishwa Vishwani Management Institute on 16th December.
9. Ms. Sheela from the Department of Hindi attended a Workshop on ‘Unicode’ at Bhavan’s Vivekananda College, Hyderabad on 20th December.
10. Christmas Celebrations were organised for all the teaching and non-teaching staff of Little Flower Institutions by the Management on 23rd December.
11. Some Lecturers joined students on a National Tour to Delhi on 26th December.
12. 50 NSS volunteers attended a Special Mega Camp held at Faculty Club, Osmania University from 27th December to 2nd January.
January 2018


1. 40 Final year Commerce students attended a Seminar on Entrepreneurship held at Heritage Hall, LFDC on 6th January.
2. LFDC conducted Inter college Games & Sports competitions from 6th to 12th January. The competitions were: Volleyball, Badminton (Single/Double), Table Tennis (Single/Double), Basketball, Throw ball (W), Shot-put, Long Jump and Running (100 M, 200 M, 400 M).
3. Ms. Sheela accompanied I year Hindi students to “Vishwa Hindi Diwas Program” held at Badruka Degree College, Kachiguda on 10th January.
4. Ms T. Nagalakshmi and II year MECS students participated in “An Exhibition on Arduno Project” held by Sujatha Degree and PG College on 11th January.
5. Mr. Prashanth accompanied 60 NSS volunteers to attend a Seminar on National Youth Day held at Arts College, OU conducted by NSS Cell, OU on 12th January.
6. 30 NSS volunteers took part in a torch march with the motto “The Flame of Knowledge” to NTR Stadium conducted by State NSS Cell on 12th January.
7. NSS conducted Awareness program and campaign for enrolment of youth electors on 12th January.
8. The Valedictory Function of Inter College Sports and Games 2017-18 was held on 12th January.
9. Ms. J Usha Rani attended a Workshop on Research Based Pedagogy Tools at Bhavan’s Degree College conducted by IISER, Pune on 17th January.
10. Ms. R. B. Sashi Rekha accompanied students of I and II year BA to attend a National Seminar on “Exploring Indigenous Knowledge System and Empowering the Marginalised Social Groups of Indian Society” held at Sanskruti Institute of Dravidian Culture and Research on 18th and 19th January.
11. Dept. of Psychology conducted an Orientation Program on Research Methodology for all the students of BA on 20th January.
12. Ms. Pranitha, Ms. Vanitha and Mr. Damodhar of the Commerce Dept. and Ms. Sheetal and Ms. Hephzibah of the Dept. of Management attended a Seminar on “The Future of the Accountant in Business” conducted by IMA-Wiley-Miles Team held at MCR HRD Institute, Jubilee Hills on 21st January.
13. 32 girl students attended a Crash Course on Self Defence “Taekwondo” held at Sri Auxilum Navajeevan Orphanage Home, Uppal on 23rd January.
14. Final year B. Com students attended a Seminar on “HRM Social Responsibility Accounting” held at Seminar Hall, LFDC on 24th January. The Guest Lecture was given by Prof. Vishwanadham.
15. LFDC Football team participated in O.U ICT at Loyola Degree & PG College on 24th & 25th January.

17. Volunteers of NSS attended National Voters Day Celebrations held at OU on 25th January.

8. Decennial Closing Ceremony was held on 24th February. Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, VC, EFLU; Prof. Raja Ratnam, VC, Palamuru University and Rev. Bro. Jaico Gervasis were the distinguished guests.
9. II year BtMC students attended a National Seminar on “Nanotechnology: Emerging Issues and Applications” held at St. Pious X Degree and PG College for Women on 26th February.
10. II year BtMC students attended and presented posters on National Science Day Celebration in Telangana held at Bhavan’s Degree College on 27th February.
11. LFDC Teeakwondo students participated in O.U - ICT at O.U Indoor Stadium on 28th February.
12. Ms. T. Manjusha and Ms. Dhwani accompanied 30 I and II year MSCS students for a Field Trip to ‘The Survey of India’ on the occasion of National Science Day on 28th February.

1. International Women’s Day was celebrated in the College with the motto #PressforProgress on 8th March. Four mothers of our students were the Chief guests.
2. Ms. Sashi Rekha and Ms. Harshitha from the Dept. of Psychology attended a Workshop on Statistics held by the Dept. of Psychology, OU on 8th March.
3. Awards Ceremony was conducted by the Management to recognise and award all the winners in different competitions held in Academics, Cultural and Sports throughout the year on 10th March.
4. Farewell Party was organised for the Final year students by the I and II year students on 10th March.
5. Staff Picnic was held for all the teaching and non-teaching staff on 11th March. The venue was Palm Exotica Resort.
6. I and II year BtMC, I year BZC and I year MPC students attended “Chemistry Carnival” conducted by the Dept. of Chemistry, OU on 15th and 16th March.
7. Dr. G. Kishore Kumar accompanied 4 II BtMC students attended International Conference ‘ICI BAG-2018’ conducted by Dept. of Genetics, OU at IICI from 15th to 17th March.
8. Dept. of Zoology took I year BZC students for a Field Trip to Nehru Zoological Park on 17th March.
9. Ms. Thane and Ms. Suvarna accompanied the students of I and II year BA, and some students of I BBA, I CA and I CS to attend a Workshop on “Gender Awareness” held at St. Pious X Degree and PG College for Women on 20th March.
10. Students from Tanzania visited the LFDC Campus on 21st March.
11. I and II year French students celebrated Francophonie Day (French Day) on 21st March.
12. I and II year BA students attended a Guest Lecture on the topic “For the Love of Poetry” by Dr. Jhilam Chattaraj held by the Dept. of English on 23rd March.
13. 5th Graduation Day of LFDC was held on 27th March. Prof. Ch. Gopal Reddy, Registrar, OU was the Chief Guest and Dr. M. Chandrasekharam, Principal Scientist, CSIR-IICT was the Guest of Honour.
14. The Dept. of Chemistry attended a two day National Workshop on 28th and 29th March.
