MUN (model united nation)

The Department of Management conducted the event Model United Nation to enhance the knowledge of the students. The main object of the event is to know about the other countries’ economic policy, military power and how the countries depend on each other if there is a war and its impact on the globe. In the event, students of Little Flower Degree College from different streams have participated as representatives for each country and explained the geographical, economical features, the conditions of the armed force, its position in the world, the latest innovations and the exports. In the event, the students represented countries like China, India, USA, Japan, Australia, Mexico and Austria. The International press was present in the event to question the countries’ representatives regarding the issues related to that country and the representative had to give a convincing reply. The event concluded with the feedback given by Principal, Rev. Bro. Vincent Reddy. He congratulated and motivated the participants for putting up a great event. He questioned the audience ie, the BBA 1st year students to assess the knowledge gained from this event.

Field trip to Coca-cola plant

The Department of Management has organized a field trip for the I and II year BBA students to the Coca-Cola plant in Miyapur on 18th Sepetember 2018 to help the students gain an understanding in real time production. Mrs Sandhya and Mrs Hephzibah along with 95 students visited the plant which is situated in Ameenapur, Miyapur. The students were given a PowerPoint presentation by Mr Suryanarayana Raju about the history and present working structure of the plant. It was a very interactive session with the students questioning the sanitation conditions and seeking clarifications about the raw materials being used by the plant. The students have later taken a tour of the plant.

Auction station

The Department of Management organized Auction Station to enhance the management skills of the students in the competitive business environment. In this event, 9 teams have participated wherein 13 exhibits have been given. The participants have to bid the highest for these saleable exhibits with the fixed reserve price of 10 lakhs given to all of the teams initially. The team with efficient management skills and good bidding abilities which has purchased more exhibits with the reserve has been declared the winner.

Intra –college activities

The Management Club has conducted intra collegiate competitions like Cross Word, Logo Presentation on 19th September 2018 and World Summit on 24th September 2018 to enhance the time management and communication skills of the students. Students from all the streams have enthusiastically participated in these competitions.

Business Project- The Viva

The second year students of BBA have completed projects on different sectors of business units to understand the management activities of these sectors. The projects were assigned to the students one month in advance and have visited various business units and gathered information. In this event 14 teams have participated with their business projects from Amul, Bambino, Modern food, Instagram, Suchir India, Uber, Reliance Rainbow Plastics, Reliance Trends, Bata, KFC, Kaira, The Coffee Cup, Airtel and NSPL respectively. After acquiring knowledge from their selected business units, the Department of Management conducted the project viva for the participants. Five teams have been evaluated per day by Rev Bro Vincent Reddy, Principal of LFDC, Ms Jayanti Reddy, Vice-principal of LFDC, Ms. Sadhana Srivastav, Vice–principal of LFJC and Ms. Rachel, Senior lecturer in English LFJC. Students have enjoyed the event and gained knowledge regarding the management activities in the business units.

Moot Court

This event has been conducted by the Department of Management to provide an understanding to the students regarding the working of the court. The students of I BBA have participated in this event by presenting various cases from across the world. The students were able to gain knowledge about the court’s processes and procedures and enhance their communication skills.
